HMP

Transformer Package Saves Installation Time

Electricians worldwide no longer spend hours installing metering equipment on transformers. With an HMP metering package, from Hegemon Metering Solutions (Sumner, Missouri), they are able to save time and increase efficiency during installation.

By using this package, electricians lessen the possibility of incorrectly wiring the system or making metering errors. Also, with a test switch provision, they can install and perform maintenance on the meters without shutting down the load, which increases productivity and the level of safety on the job.

To install the product, electricians simply mount the package to the outside of the transformer secondary compartment. All necessary mounting hardware and provisions are included in the package. A color coded wiring diagram assures that the package is properly wired.

Electricians love the HMP because everything is ready to go when they bring it out of the box. All they have to do is install the package with the pre-programmed meter and the job is completed.

HEGEMON ANNOUNCES AMR/AMI INTEGRATION TECHNOLOGY

Hegemon Metering Solutions is announcing complete ami/amr packages for a single unit up to 100,000 units, for electric, water and gas, from meters, transmitters, collectors, software & servers or outside ams hosted server for data on a monthly fee.  Customers can now choose from multiple meter types (electric meters, (ie: elster, landis & gyr, electro industries 1262 socket meters, wattnode, hawkeye,  enercept net work meters, shark meters, ims meters, water meters, hot or cold from ½” to 20” with pulse or coders, gas meters, roots, american, hersey) transducers, transmitters,  collectors and servers or server data bases.

Hegemon Metering Solutions has expanded its manufacturing abilities by leasing a 100’ x 125’ facility in Brookfield Missouri.  We have set up  a single  assembly production line with the room to expand to four lines for the HMP Transformer Metering Packages.  This investment of on hand inventory of current transformers,  non stainless steel and stainless steel enclosures, demand meters, fuse kits and fuses, color coded wire, enclosure templates, wiring diagrams, and hardware now allow us to produce up to  15-30 units a day.   Hegemon  has expanded its HMP line to now offer:  Modbus HMP kits,   Lonworks® HMP kits,  standard socket pulse kits HMP with Lonworks,  ERT HMP kits, HMP TWAX kits, DCSI HMP kits, Bacnet HMP kits etc.

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH / HEGEMON Metering Solutions SUCCESSFULLY DEPLOY AMI PROJECT

Hegemon Metering Solutions announces that its AMI/AMR deployment has been successfully  performed with various metering types around the University of Utah.  The University has used a Obvius collection device and multiple meters (Veris, Electro Industries, Elster, Square D, Badger, DLJ, Roots, etc.) so that not one manufacturing facility controlled what meters the University could use on campus.  Not only have we been successful in electric metering, but have also tied in water meters, steam meters, and gas meters accross the campus.  It is expected to monitor all buildings on campus in the future, most of the critical billing locations have been deployed at this time.  Chris Atkins formerly utility director of the University is the one who planned out the successful deployment several years ago, he recently purchased Summa Energy Services, and is installing the AMI/AMR meters today under the James Smith the current director of utilities.  If you are looking for a complete metering system, give us a call at 800-400-3449.

HICKAM AFB — PHASE 11 STARTED / April 2, 2009

Hegemon Metering Solutions and Tika Energy Management have been successful in obtaining Phase 2 of Hickam AFB, this contract was landed from CH2M Hill Constructors Inc.  The Landis & Gyr AXS4E meter is compliant with EPACT 2005/EISA section 103, and  section 1251, our AES meter solution provides metering of gas and steam for  Title iv, section 434.   This is the second successful Military installation that Hegemon Metering Solutions has provided to the military.  We look forward to another deployment in the AMI/AMR metering industry.

Phase 1 HICKAM AFB 2006 AMR

Hegemon Metering Solutions marketing for Tika Energy Management secures Hickam AFB prototype of 30 Automatic Meter Reading in late 2005 and obtains Phase 1 project for 100 plus meters.  This automatic meter reading system utilized the AdvanceAMR Technologies Metering Solutions, Energy Management and Control system.  This system utilizes a wireless, licensed 450 hz system, with the Landis & Gyr S4 meter and an 8841 transmitter.  This transmitter averages 4-5 miles of coverage and utilizes a mesh system.

Landis & Gyr Meter School November 2008

Hegemon Metering Solutions sent Jack Blank to the Landis & Gyr Metering School where he obtained the Certificate of Completion.  This training provided basic metering, pulse metering, measurement technologies, advanced tou-lp-and demand instruction, single phase, reactive metering,  polyphase metering, metering testing, net metering, disconnect meters and 2 way, transformer loss, 1132 programing, communication, high end software tools, maxconm & mapper software training.  A very useful software for small accounts was the 1132 Gyr software, which can perform multiply funtions, particularly useful was the totalizing funtions at a reasonable price, thereby making a limited amr system for small clients.

Hegemon Metering Solutions is currently setting up a server to provide small accounts a monthly read for meters, electric, gas and water at very reasonable rates using the 1132 Gry software.  This is expected with the next 60 days for client use.
